Just any FYI, the newest safety requirements are rear facing until at minimum age 2 or 30 lbs. Ideally it is to the limits of the carseat. The nautilus is a forward facing only carseat. Athough it is a great seat, I would not suggest it for a child that young. Research it, but the evidence is ccmpelling. We rear faced our oldest daughter until she was 2 months shy of age 3. We regret turning her then. We were in a car accident on Christmas and we were told that had she still been rear facing she would have likely had no injury what so ever. The baby was rear facing and had no mark. Although our injuries required little treatment, we had significant bruising.
